This weekend, an iconic event is taking over the streets of the District and much of Arlington, Virginia: the 50th Marine Corps Marathon is this Sunday!
Starting and ending in Arlington Ridge Park, right across the Potomac, the route:
- Heads north through Arlington until it crosses in D.C. via the Francis Scott Key Bridge,
- Then the path then heads across Georgetown until it hits the Rock Creek Park Trail, where it loops past Kalorama Heights
- After completing the loop along Rock Creek Park, runners head south all the way to Hains Point.
- Once the runners hit Hains Point, they head north along the eastern side of East Potomac Park, heading towards the Tidal Basin.
- Nearing the final stretch, runners will then run a loop along the National Mall before
